DANCE DIALOGUES AFRICA pursues a close and inspiring cooperation between centres of contemporary dance in Germany and different countries on the African continent. It is funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation. The project brings artists from Africa and Europe together to cooperate and develop projects. DANCE DIALOGUES AFRICA aims to initiate new dance productions during a core period between 2012 and 2014, and present them in a Touring Festival both in Europe and Africa. There are African partners in Mozambique, Mali, Tunisia, Dem. Republic of the Congo and South Africa. Partners in Germany are DansArt Tanznetworks in Bielefeld, Hellerau in Dresden, Kampnagel in Hamburg and the Theater im Pumpenhaus in Münster. The organisation responsible for the project is tanzhaus nrw in Düsseldorf.
